I'm not sure if this is Nautilus' fault, but it happens to me with Firefox and OpenOffice, although it could be any program. If I copy a sentence from Firefox, then close Firefox and then try to paste the sentence into OpenOffice, I can't as the sentence has been purged. I've been told I need 'gl

I've used glipper and it works. It's installed by default in Foresight Linux (Gnome 2.20). It's a well-known issue that closing an application will normally wipe any clipboards associated with that application. It's a habit to close an application once you grab the data that you want to paste. T

Marking as Confirmed. In Gutsy, copy a column of data from gnumeric. Close gnumeric then try to paste in gedit. Gone. No data to paste. Work around: >sudo apt-get install glipper One less annoyance. Glipper should be installed by default in Hardy. Any reason why it's not? -- Can't paste na
