Can't paste
The nautilus and other software issues are different bugs. Could you
describe easy steps to trigger the bug? What error do you get when
trying to copy something?

I'm not sure if this is Nautilus' fault, but it happens to me with
Firefox and OpenOffice, although it could be any program.
If I copy a sentence from Firefox, then close Firefox and then try to
paste the sentence into OpenOffice, I can't as the sentence has been
purged.
I've been told I need 'gl
I've used glipper and it works. It's installed by default in Foresight
Linux (Gnome 2.20). It's a well-known issue that closing an application
will normally wipe any clipboards associated with that application.
It's a habit to close an application once you grab the data that you
want to paste. T

Marking as Confirmed. In Gutsy, copy a column of data from gnumeric.
Close gnumeric then try to paste in gedit. Gone. No data to paste.
Work around:
>sudo apt-get install glipper
One less annoyance. Glipper should be installed by default in Hardy.
