It appears like there was the following line in debian/install activates:
#tests/*.py usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/bzrlib/
bzrtools installation failed because of it and in the current packages
state it tries to get configured only, but the error will stay the
Hmm, I'm not quite sure what did it, but reinstalling python2.4,
python2.5 and bzrtools in that order (with apt-get install --reinstall
packagename) made bzrtools install cleanly. I was still seeing this
bug after reinstalling python2.5, but all was well again after doing
bzrtools.
