Hello and thanks for this bug report. The attached logs show this error:
MySQLConf.etc.mysql.my.cnf: Error: [Errno 40] Too many levels of
symbolic links: '/etc/mysql/my.cnf'
This looks like a local configuration problem, rather than a bug in
Ubuntu.
