Gunnar, I was able to build gnome-shell with tests successfully on
ppc64el so I reverted your commit in the ubuntu/master branch.

It has built for ppc64el previously — as late as 40.2-1ubuntu1 in July.
But then something happened in impish-proposed (the issue has nothing to
do with your latest patches) which prevents migration.
Yeah, maybe skip that test for ppc64el...

I'm not aware of ppc64 being expected to work, but it appears the
binaries can build. Sounds like some test cases need to be skipped??
