Ubuntu 20.04.3 with kernel  5.4.0-84-generic all up to date to latest @
18/9/2021

When launching gnome-screenshot GUI, selecting an area and push the take 
screenshot button
does not take the shot, but reloops a few times back to the GUI window so i 
have to retry
selecting area

this happens on random, i cannot seem to reproduce it on command
