Martin, this *IS* bug in mate-panel, next release libwnck release will
have same problem...
Revert in libwnck was added only because libwnck was released as 40.0
while it really should have been 41.alpha!

Adding myself to this as this also affects me. At first I thought it
was just the way things were from now on, as an experiment in how the
workplace switcher worked. I did not realize it was a bug until I saw a
post about it in the Ubuntu-Mate forums.
I wonder how many others just shrugged and
