If this were a GNOME-specific change, and it were made downstream by
Ubuntu, I assume it could be put in the firefox-gnome-support package.
That seems to be installed by default in Ubuntu, but I assume not
Kubuntu. If it were upstream, I don't know.

able to set the view of your choice.

Added upstream bug report to this one. There is no reason to get mad or
discouraged sometimes bugs dont get fixed right away and can take time to find
the reason this is happening.
