Confirmed with hardy alpha 5 and rhythmbox 0.11.4. When an ipod is
plugged in, rhythmbox opens and adds the ipod's tracks to my library.
They stay there until the ipod is ejected, after which the tracks go
into the "missing files" section. The same behavior is present with a
new user account on thi
With a new user (with an empty library an the library pointing at an
empty folder) an import appears to try to take place. I ended up with 2
tracks, both the same one in the library + the tracks as normal on the
ipod device.
This may not be a rythmbox problem directly. I just noticed I have

They do still apear under the ipod devices section, they were just added
to the library as well. ejecting the ipod they were removed from the
library. Replugging the ipod again an import starts to occur, getting
import errors on ArtworkDB and ITunesDB but the tracks do not appear.

Thanks for your report, the tracks of your iPod should appear under the
ipod icon on the left side panel, maybe you have something else set on
your rhythmbox configuration that makes your files appear under the
Music library, may you tell us if that's reproducible with a totally new
