Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. By looking at: MySQLConf.etc.mysql.my.cnf: Error: [Errno 40] Too many levels of symbolic links: '/etc/mysql/my.cnf' it seems likely to me that this is a local configuration problem, rather than a bug in
