Public bug reported: Did a "aptitude update" followed by a "aptitude safe-upgrade" this morning and got the 2.6.24-10 kernel installed.
After a reboot my X was broken. I use the nvidia-glx-new 169.09 and nvidia-kernel-common 20051028+1ubuntu8 packages. It seems like if the linux-restricted-modules are missing for the 2.6.24-10 kernel. When i try to install the linux-restricted-modules version 2.6.24.10.8 i get the following error: linux-restricted-modules: Depends: linux-restricted-modules-generic but it is not going to be installed Thanks for the good work with Ubuntu. /thorsten ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - 2.6.24-10 linux-restricted-modules + 2.6.24-10 linux-restricted-modules missing -- 2.6.24-10 linux-restricted-modules missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/196027 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
