In Totem 2.30.x, we use gnome-dvb-daemon to stream the TV channels in Totem, so
the problem should be solved.
Therefore I am closing this bug. If this is still an issue for you with Ubuntu
10.04, please reopen this bug and make sure you leave a comment on the
Totem doesn't play DVB at all in Jaunty due to a missing plugin (totem
2.26.1-0ubuntu5, gstreamer-plugins-bad-0.10.11-2ubuntu1).
I think this issue need some attention before dropping totem-xine in Karmic!

I have two PC. Desktop with actual Gentoo stable and PCI DVB-T tuner
Hauppauge WinTV 2000 and laptop with Ubuntu 8.04 and USB DVB-T tuner
Gigabyte U7000. USB DVB-T tuner works well with mplayer a (g)xine at
both PC. Totem on my laptop with USB DVB-T is not working and Totem on
my desktop works

Same problem here with a working dvb-t stick (hauppauge nova-t stick). It works
with xine, mplayer, me-tv, mythtv but not with totem and gstreamer.
I don't have totem-xine installed neither i'm interested to try it.
Channels are loaded correctly, video starts but it is slow and jerky and no
