Public bug reported: Every time I login, I get an apport notification that something has crashed. Upon trying to report, it does nothing.
I have traced it to update-notifier after noticing that the icon that appears is the same as the update-manager icon, and something one would normally see if updates are available, except the notification never appears; just the apport dialog appears. Expected behavior: Update notifier dialog appears Actual behavior: Apport dialog appears, but doesn't create bug report ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 22.04 Package: update-notifier 3.192.49 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.15.0-18.18-lowlatency 5.15.12 Uname: Linux 5.15.0-18-lowlatency x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia_modeset nvidia ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu77 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: pass CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Thu Feb 24 17:45:35 2022 InstallationDate: Installed on 2021-08-19 (189 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 21.10 "Impish Indri" - Alpha amd64 (20210818) ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm-256color PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: update-notifier UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: update-notifier (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug jammy -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1962245 Title: update-notifier crashes upon login To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-notifier/+bug/1962245/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
