Hi @sil2100,
confirmed with Synaptics, they suggest to remove this ID because there’s no
correct sensor cofig data in libfprint. So I'll keep removing it.

I'm not sure the real reason why aris@synaptics.com remove this ID. We can
keep this ID for focal, but user will lost support when they upgrade to Jammy.

Hey Andy! I accepted the SRUs, but thinking about the removal of 0xE7 a
bit more... maybe we could consider leaving it for focal? What
implications would it have?

Hello Andy, or anyone else affected,
Accepted libfprint into impish-proposed. The package will build now and
be available at
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libfprint/1:1.90.7+git20210222+tod1-0ubuntu4~21.10.3
in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.
Please help us by testing

0xE7 is removed by Synaptics, I'm not sure why they stop supporting 0xE7 in the
upstream. The version in Jammy include this commit as well.
