Ken said that the feature wouldn't work exactly as designed until the
new snapd is out but isn't broken. The new snapd version is also in beta
now

the last time I talked to kenvandine (last week) he recommended that
the new snap should only be seeded once snapd v2.55 is released.
Has this advice now changed?

I think having this for 22.04 is important, especially that snaps are a
core component of our desktop experience nowadays. Did all the
integration bits land in snapd already? I see that the README file of
snapd-desktop-integration mentions some experimental flags needing
switching. I assume now it'
