The other way should work, or give a warning in order to remain a sane
UI, which is a feature request.

I know the difference between a support request, and filing a bug.
And I know how a message filter is *supposed* to work. I have successfully
used them without issues in other mail clients such as Thunderbird or Outlook.
Evolution filters simply are not working in the way they should.
