I just got caught up by this bug as well with Kubuntu 24.04. I think it
started happening when I replaced the firefox snap with Mozilla's apt
repo as listed here - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-

There probably should not be a dependency on a virtual package like
this, when it contains options that will not actually do what is
required of the depency. Wslu is an especially annoying option to have
in the list, because it causes all sorts of problems when installed
without actually using
