I found that I can print smaller images (scaled down from a photo taken
by a 10 MPixel camera to 800x600) with gthumb. So maybe it's a "doesn't
print big jobs" bug. Maybe even the one in bug 44989.

FWIW, the suggested driver (for a magicolor 2530DL) doesn't correctly
print a test page, just a few black characters in the first line of a
page.

When I try to print from gthumb, the job looks like going out, but
nothing happens (well, the printer says "Working..." for a while, the
goes to "Ready").
/var/log/cups/access_log shows:
