Hi Kristoffer and anyone else affected. Could you please try the new amsn 0.98.9-1 from my ppa [1]? this version is available for precise and quantal and it contains so many bug fixes. If this doesn't fix the problem set the status back to new [1] https://code.launchpad.net/~costamagnagianfranco/+

I had this problem too. When I would launch amsn with "padsp amsn" it would cause my CPU to jump to 100% and hover there until I quit the application. The solution I found is to use the "-M" option with the command: padsp -M amsn According to http://linux.die.net/man/1/padsp this option will "D
