They are disabled in Adept3, the KDE4 version of Adept. It is not
offically released yet, but is on its way into intrepid and likely
hardy-backports. Marking "In Progress" until it is actually available in
official repositories.

I looked at the source code and the relevant part (in app.cpp) seems
correct. So there must be an override in some other file, or a bug in
Qt.

The behaviour depends on what button I press:
- Undo: the button deactivates, and Redo activates;
- Fetch Updates: adept starts fetching updates, then crashes (backtrace
attached);
- Preview Changes: ch

you are running, as well as the version of adept?
Also, you say that clicking on the buttons makes the program crash.
