It is not fixed, the max CPU is still 8 on 9.04 linux-images-server, you have
to add
CONFIG_X86_BIGSMP=y
and 2 or 3 other in kernel config to fix this bug, just changing the
number will NOT work. It is not the only reason why it is blocked to 8
core.

The latest Kernel (9.04) has NR_CPUS = 64.
I don't know, what the setting is in the latest LTS version.
