Oh, actually it hapened right before i switched to the new broken
kernel... i didn't noticed that!
When the fixed kernel will be uploaded to my repositories i will test
pidgin with sound enabled again...

I appreciate what you are saying but the problem is with the sound
modules and not pidgin. Keeping this bug open will only be duplicating
the effort as it is the same cause. As such, I'm marking this one as a
right, i am also a subscribe to this bug:

However, one think i know: it is a bug every time you see any "segmentation
fault" in any stand alone application.
