March 14, 2008 alpha-6 daily build still has problem.
This is a very critical bug, IMHO.
Is there a way to take the March 10 build and move one or
more files and create a new disc?

I forgot something: the message I can see when the booting hangs says
"Waiting for root filesystem". This is with both the updated kernels.
When booting the not-touched kernel the booting hangs with the message
"Starting system logging daemon" (or something very similar).

Same problem here. After tha latest updates today I cannot boot the system. I'm
running ubuntu 8.04 i386. Within the latest updates there were the both kernels
2.6.24.12 and 2.6.24-386 updated. I think there was might be an error in init
images generated.
