Sorry but I re-enabled this bug, I did a fresh install also with shipit CD and
still have the same issue.
This is driving me nuts!

It was the CD I got from ShipIt, the old one was originally an Ubuntu
8.04 Alpha 1 install, the steps I used to enable the video driver is
normal, go to Hardware Drivers and enabling the Nvidia driver. I will
attach my xorg.conf.

I did a clean reinstall of Ubuntu and it seems that the bug is gone, I
guess it was something in the old install that was causing the problem.
I am marking this bug as invalid.

Same ISO you downloaded with first install? Can you please post some
installation steps like how did you enable hardware acceleration at
first after the clean install. Can you also post a copy of your
