[Hardy] Regression: External crypto-drives are not automounted after given
password

Luks encrypted usb key does not mount
Same issue here: I plug in the USB key with the encrypted partition
(/dev/sdb2 for example) The password dialog pops up, and the partition
appears in the Nautilus Sidebar as 1.9 GB Encrypted Partition. I put
in the password, and the partition disappears from the Nautilus sidebar.
The mapping
Just noticed something else: if I do 'pmount /dev/sdb2' and enter the
LUKS password, a drive icon for it appears on the desktop with the title
0.0 kB Media. Double-clicking that opens it as normal.

I have the same problem. Used to work fine, but has suddenly stopped
automounting or even being mountable using gnome-mount :-(
Inserting the USB key gets me a password prompt, the various mappings
appear to be created correctly, but nothing more happens.

Nothing has change since going from Hardy Beta to the official Hardy
release. The password prompt still pops up, but the drive is not mounted
automatically. I can of course do mount /media/sandisk to mount it,
but it's annoying.

Luks encrypted usb key does not mount
I've just upgraded to hardy and tried: the luks-encrypted usb key does

pmount.

I had this problem on my Ubuntu Gutsy and I can confirm that it still
persists after an upgrade to Ubuntu Hardy Beta. On Debian Etch it
everything works as it should. I've attached log files as requested in

One more thing... in Gutsy an icon appeared in Nautilus sidebar after I
had given the volume password. By clicking that icon I could view the
files in the crypted volume. Now, with Hardy Beta, nothing happens in
Nautilus. Thus I can't access the volume. What I can do is add this to
/etc/fstab:
