I'm going to mark this "fix released," as the problem has disappeared
for my computer in Hardy - the radio switch appears to work correctly
and not interfere with hibernate or standyb.

dmesg following failed hibernate: turned on radio kill switch, told computer to
hibernate.
Following failed hibernate, wireless is dead until reboot, even after disabling
radiokill. Reboot requires hard reboot (holding power button), as it hangs
during the shut down sequence.
