The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.
There are one of two ways you should be able to test:

I thought I'd chip in that I have the same intermittent problems on a
Thinkpad T60 after resuming from suspend.
Here's the messages from the driver after resume (slightly edited to
include just the relevant bits). The laptop was suspended for about 2
hours before resume.

Hi Guys,
Sorry for the delayed response. One other thing you might want to give
a try is to test the upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 kernel? The reason I
say that is it was most recently rebased with the upstream 2.6.25 kernel
and contains a even newer iwlwifi version, 1.2.26k. It is currently

Forgot to mention that I'm going to try with backports-modules now, but

Hi Guys,
For the Hardy Haron 8.04 release the linux-backports-modules-2.6.24
package has an updated version of the iwlwifi drivers (version 1.2.25).
Care to test if the updated version of the iwl3945 driver helps at all?
You can use 'modinfo iwl3945' to verify the version. Thanks.

I see the same behavior on an XPS m1530 bios A07 under Gutsy.
iwl3945 sometimes works, sometimes shows the same "deep sleep" condition.
ipw3945 is the same.
