Sorry but I didn't try with ubuntu 8.10 nor 9.04 becuse miro was still
slow with the previous version on my old pc. For the same reason I
haven't tried the snapshot. Thanks, bye

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 or 9.04? Have you tried the
2.0 snapshot from Fabien Tassin's ppa?
