Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24-12-generic
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=8.04 DISTRIB_CODENAME=hardy DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu hardy (development branch)" linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24-12-generic The ipw3945 driver, firmware and daemon has been removed from linux- restricted-modules-2.6.24-12-generic, despite the fact that this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/176090 in the alternative iwl3945 driver package has not been fixed yet. While the iwl3945 driver works in general, it does not give any status report via a notebook's LED, i.e. no association status and data transfer feedback. The ipw3945 package should be included as long as the iwl3945 driver is not functionally equal to it. ** Affects: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: lan wireless -- ipw3945 removed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/203836 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
