2.3.3 is included in Hardy. Assuming fixed and marking as such.

Wordpress 2.2.2 in Gutsy (2.2.2-1ubuntu1) has the patch from the forum
post included, but there seems to be a PHP5 bug involved, too (see the
upstream bug at http://trac.wordpress.org/ticket/3780).
Is the bug still there for you with Ubuntu Gutsy?
