Expected behavior: Allow multiple processes accross sessions
Actual behavior:
When logged in under multiple sessions (in this case ssh connection with X
forwarding), you cannot open firefox if it is already running locally on the
machine. Instead you get a message box telling you to close the current
process, thus meaning any subsequent user sessions cannot run firefox.
Additionally, it is impossible to terminate the current firefox session without
using the kill command as it is not running within your session, and this
should not be forced as the user on the system may be using firefox.
Example scenario: User sat at machine is running firefox. I connect via
ssh with x forwarding to the same machine, and attempt to run firefox. I
cannot run a new instance of firefox as it's already being run/actively
used by the user physically at the machine.
Note: this behavior may not be the same when the two user sessions are
using different users (in this case both are logged in under the same
user). I have not tested this. Again though, this means I cannot run
firefox if I forgot to close it before leaving the house and need access
to bookmarks/saved passwords etc...
