Hibernate is still an issue for me with the latest (updated) intrepid.
However, I have a workaround - using uswsusp hibernate (s2disk). Closing
this bug is fine with me.

The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.

I get hibernate working by creating and filling
/etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume that didn't exist before and regerate
initrd.
