I was installing kde 4.1 beta and I've seen that in the PPA of Kubuntu members (deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-members-kde4/ubuntu hardy main) there is CMake version 2.6, so I think that it should be possible to insert directly version 2.6 in Hardy backport -- please sync cmake to
