Just tried again with today's Ubuntu Mate daily image, same issue

This is with Ubuntu Mate, the daily image as of about 9am UTC 12/04/2024 as
well as some versions downloaded at other times.
Last one I have verified the problem still exists with has SHA256 sum, I
haven't tried newer yet doe to lack of time:
