I can confirm this and I think that it's important to fix this because the cam, and it's similar versions, is common on laptops from HP and Sony. The driver supporting this cam (and it's relatives) is the Ricoh r5u870 and can be found at http://wiki.mediati.org/R5u870 I'm using cheese version:
