I have used Ask Ubuntu with a description of the problem

I have a manual partition in order to keep separate the "/" from "/home"
and to overwrite the Ubuntu while not touching the user data. The
upgrade to 24.04 is failing and I think the reason is that it can't find
the grub on the iso file.
