I'm left also with an incomplete unusable installation on trying to
doing an LTS 22.04 jammy to LTS 24.04.1 noble.
Fortunately I have ZFS snapshots, hence I was able to revert to the pre-
upgrade state. But I did not succeed to workaround this issue.
