Does "sudo /etc/acpi/sleep.sh force" work better for you? If yes, a workaround is to modify the hal scripts (/usr/lib/hal/scripts/hal- system-power-suspend-linux) to call /etc/acpi/sleep.sh instead of pm- suspend (around line 74, comment the if block and replace it). That works for me. -- Suspen
