Public bug reported: I am using latest Kubuntu live ISO kubuntu-24.04-desktop-amd64.iso
It's impossible to unlock the session once it was locked. To lock the screen go to the KDE start menu. Also KDE might lock the screen automatically after some time when going into sleep mode. From using a tty I know for sure that the username is kubuntu and the password is empty. But kscreenlocker always says "Unlocking failed". On opensuse (openSUSE-Leap-15.6-KDE-Live-x86_64-Build13.280-Media.iso) everything is working. The lock screen there doesn't even show a password field but only a button. Perhaps you want to take a look. On debian KDE everything is working too because there they have a default password which is not empty (it's 'live'). The problem is only about unlocking a session. Logging in works fine. ** Affects: kscreenlocker (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "Screenshot_20240713_132643.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2073029/+attachment/5796893/+files/Screenshot_20240713_132643.png ** Description changed: I am using latest Kubuntu live ISO kubuntu-24.04-desktop-amd64.iso It's impossible to unlock the session once it was locked.
