My verification covers:
1. "apt install" the following pakcages: open-vm-tools, open-vm-tools-desktop,
open-vm-tools-sdmp, open-vm-tools-containerinfo, open-vm-tools-salt-minion
2. do some functional

Accepted open-vm-tools into noble-proposed. The package will build now
and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/open-vm-
tools/2:12.4.5-1~ubuntu0.24.04.1 in a few hours, and then in the
-proposed repository.
