I tested netplan.io 1.1.1-1~ubuntu24.04.1 from noble-proposed and can
confirm things are working as expected. Also, the autopkgtest
regressions reported in comment #12 were all "tmpfail" and resolved by
retry.
I attached the autopkgtest logs (which PASS, except for the FLAKY "wifi" tests):

I tested netplan.io 1.1.1-1~ubuntu24.10.1 from oracular-proposed and can

Accepted netplan.io into oracular-proposed. The package will build now
and be available at
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/netplan.io/1.1.1-1~ubuntu24.10.1 in
a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.
