After I exit a program ran in full screen mode (for example a game like Planet Pinguin Racer), the icons on the top panel are almost always moved to a random order. Normally I have a very default layout of the panel (that is: shutdown button furthest right, date and time, volume, WLAN strength, weather and system load monitorin...). After closing an application that was ran in full screen mode, the shutdown button for example may have moved from the right hand corner to the middle of the panel. Most often there are several icons that have moved at the same time. To avoid this, I have locked all the icons, but it does not seem to help. I am running Compiz Fusion under Ubuntu 7.10. If Compiz is ON, it is almost 100% sure that the icons will get mixed. If Compiz is OFF, they remain on their proper locations on almost always (I would approximate that it happens only in 5% of the cases if Compiz is OFF). I use Ubuntu 7.10 in two computers. The other has a Matrox G550 card (not capable of Compiz) and the other has an ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 (Compiz is used on this one). I have experienced the same problem on both of these computers. However, on the ATI machine, this bug has really bothered me because of its increased appearance due to Compiz.
