Same thing for me. Worked on 24.04. Often does not work on 24.10. I
am using X11 as well, I have not seen it when I use Wayland.
Here's part of my crash report:

I observed the same problem after upgrading to Ubuntu 24.10, also on the
Nvidia 560 driver.
What's interesting is that running 'sudo nautilus' doesn't produce the X
Error and successfully launches nautilus.

After testing, I confirmed that this only happens with the Nvidia 560
driver. Nouveau and the 535 driver have no issues.

Nautilus crashes
Running the nightly from Flathub also failed, until I disabled GPU
acceleration with Flatseal. Any idea what could be causing this?
I should also Gnome-Software crashes when launching any application. I
think this may be related somehow, since I had to get flatpak to
manually update the nvidia dri
