Please feel a bug for 2.
1. Shares-admin or nautilus-share don't automatically export home
directories. For that you must edit smb.conf by hands or use other gui
like system-config-samba.
An user can export is home directorie with nautilus-share, he must just
not use is name for the sharename.

So actually we have two issues now:
1. AFAIK there is no GUI which can export the home directories
automatically (you have to do it in /etc/samba/smb.conf). With something
like that my problem would be gone. And also I think there's no
application to see a list of all the shared folders (except in
After thinking I suppose that it's a security mecanism. Usershare is a
layer added to samba. If in samba, home directories are already
exported, or can be exported later, usershare should not use user's name
to anticipate problems of sharing different folders with the same name.

nautilus-share
As said, it's the samba usershare system that is used by nautilus-share, not
the samba old way that shares-admin used.
This usershare system do not accept sharename if same user name already exist
in the system.
If you are not agree with that, feel free to re-open this bug and assign
it to samba
well, if shares are set up with shares-admin, they are finally shared
with samba. I don't see why it shouldn't be possible to do it with
nautilus-shares, there is no sensible reason for that. and anyway, if
something works in a version and in the next version doesn't, that's
something that should j
nautilus-share don't use the same mecanism to share folders than shares-admin.
Nautilus-share use shareadmin in samba that use "net usershare add ..." command.

It worked with shares-admin in gutsy and is therefore a regression. It
still works on my server and I don't see why it should not be possible.
