I'm experiencing a similar problem:
Pidgin stop working after some times. No especially after
supending/hibernating. But if I use the program during some hours it finish to
crash. The program doesn't respond anymore and I have to kill the process. If I
try to relaunch pidgin, I got the folowing

I'd really love to try something and do some more diagnostics, but for
some reason, suspend has entirely stopped working on my machine. As soon

that bug lets on as the NetworkManager problem started occuring at the
same time. However, perhaps the most recent hal update triggered bugs
in both programs.
