Public bug reported: Xfwm has a feature where dragging a window to the edge of the screen tiles it on that half of the screen. This feature is supposed to be turned on by default, but it does not work in the live environment, nor after a fresh install.
To make it work you just have to open the "window manager tweaks" settings. You don't have to change anything - it will just start working immediately after you do that. This suggests that there is some problem with the default settings database as shipped. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2047970 may also have the same root cause, and there may be other unknown effects. ** Affects: xubuntu-default-settings (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2092903 Title: Window edge tiling does not work under default settings To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xubuntu-default-settings/+bug/2092903/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
