Actually, I just realized it's fairly easy to test. After spending some 30 mins devising an xml-file to test against, I realized testing is as simple as typing xmlstarlet sel -N "A=A" -N "B=B" -t -c '/' Correct behavior would be waiting for XML-input on stdin, while a version with the bug shows t
