Gutsy 7.10 Upgraded from Fiesty Package: 2.6.20-16.35 Just checking out bug reports. Did not have< /usr/share/gnupg//gpg.conf >yet the <options.skel> is the only item in the folder. So I proceeded as directed in the report... [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo cp /usr/share/gnupg/options.skel ~/.gnugpg/gpg.conf #[sudo] password for pw: #cp: cannot create regular file `/home/pw/.gnugpg/gpg.conf': No such file or directory so I tried... [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gpg #gpg: failed to create temporary file `/home/pw/.gnupg/.#lk0x811ce20.pw- desktop.7385': Permission denied #gpg: keyblock resource `/home/pw/.gnupg/secring.gpg': general error #gpg: failed to create temporary file `/home/pw/.gnupg/.#lk0x811d280.pw- desktop.7385': Permission denied #gpg: keyblock resource `/home/pw/.gnupg/pubring.gpg': general error #gpg: Go ahead and type your message ... Do not know how to proceed. I have had a variety of "key" error messages. I had assumed to this point that it was my newbie status. ** Affects: gnupg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Bug Fix #76983 Problems https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/209986 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
