Public bug reported: Hello,
I recently installed ubuntu hardy beta. I have access to internet through a router wired connection, configured using static IP addresses and server names. A very annoying problem is that after working properly on a session, and turning off or restarting my computer, I lose conection to internet, and therefore need to go "network settings" again to see what's going on. I noticed that when assigning a different IP address, under "eth0 properties" in the network settings manager, kind of restarts this program, and there it is!, working back again. But, I then restart my computer to check if it keeps internet connection, and it simply doesn't. I go to firefox and it says that I'm not connected to any network, and it doesn't navigate any page. So, back again, I have to assign a different IP address to see if it works, and it does. Not a nice thing to have to do. Thank you. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- need to provide netwrok manager IP information every time ubuntu restarts https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/210309 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
