Do you happen to know what it was that upgraded that broke your
printing? Nothing on openoffice has been updated in many months on Gutsy
so it wasn't it.

Thanks for the response.
I tried installing Suse 10.3 and printing does not function correctly
under that operating system either.
There must be some change somewhere since the printer used to work when
treated as a laserjet and that's what linuxprinting.org recommend.
I now suspect CUPS or
