I believe that this bug has been corrected in Ubuntu hardy
openoffice.org 1:2.4.0-3ubuntu1 so I am marking it as Fix Released. If
after upgrading you continue to have problems with this issue then feel
free to reopen this bug.

I generated the files in the tgz archive with openoffice.org
1:2.4.0-3ubuntu1. Before I upgraded this behaviour was very occasional
but now it happens several times a day.

Ok, I can send it upstream, but I can't even get it to reproduce so they
are unlikely to be able to either.

This bug has happened again in slightly better circumstances. I have an
archive with theoretically the same file: one corrupted and one good.
File:Save resulted in the bad copy. File:Save as... and saving in a
different location resulted in the good copy.
